Q: I want to write an article. What do I do?
A: We are always looking for LP professionals who want to contribute to the magazine. We prefer to receive a short outline or summary of the subject you wish to address along with a short bio that indicates your experience or expertise in the subject. Our staff and editorial board will evaluate the submission to determine if it fits our editorial needs. Prior to submitting an article idea, you should also check with your LP director or corporate communications department to ensure that your company will allow you to publish information related to your employment. Send article summaries to editor@LossPreventionMagazine.com.

Q: I'm not a LP professional. Can I still write an article?
A: Our articles are primarily written from the LP practitioners perspective. However, other retail professionals, such as those in HR, operations, finance, management, or logistics, are welcome to submit ideas for articles that affect our readers. |
Q: I work for a LP product or service provider. May I submit an article?
A: We generally do not accept articles written by vendors. However, if you have a suggestion for an article that you believe would be of interest to our readers, please contact us. We will take your suggestion under consideration and, if it is appropriate, we may look for a LP professional who could write on the subject. |
Q: What about Solutions Showcase articles?
A: Our Solutions Showcase section is reserved for our advertisers. The articles in this section general showcase case studies, technology discussions, corporate capabilities, or other topics that support our advertisers' marketing efforts. To learn more about this section, click here. |
Q: What about photos?
A: Many times we use photos supplied by our contributors. Most retailers communications or marketing departments have high-quality professional photos that can be used. Most of the time, however, we take photos ourselves or arrange for a freelance professional photographer to visit your store or facility to take photos. We work closely with writers to coordinate obtaining the photos we need for articles. |
Q: How long are your feature articles?
A: Our feature articles run 2500 to 3500 words. |
