A new Loss Prevention Certification program is currently in development with a target launch date of June 4, 2007. Sponsored by LossPrevention magazine and managed by the not-for-profit The Loss Prevention Foundation, the program has garnered support from hundreds of LP executives representing a wide range of retailers.
Loss Prevention Certification Council An oversight committee is made up of respresentatives from the following companies: AutoZone, Best Buy, CVS/pharmacy, Dollar General, Food Lion, Jack in the Box, Kohl’s, Limited Brands, Lowe’s, Michaels Stores, NIKE, Office Depot, Pathmark, PEPBOYS Auto, Safeway, Target, TJX, Walgreens, and Wal-Mart. Many other companies are represented on different subcommittees working on developing the various program compenents.
Endorsements The program is meant to be an industry-wide initative and welcomes participation and support from all retail organizations and associations.
